If you are fearful, you will tend to make rash, desperate choices …
The media, “studies” and “experts” will always focus on the dramatic, traumatic, or items that scare. That is a fact of life. In a 30 second ad, “news report” or 200 word article, you cannot know the important facts, relevant issues or concerns, comparisons to similar times or events.
I encourage you do some research if the topic is related to your life, family, or work. Then, decide what you believe – or learn more.
Focus your attention on the right things in life.
Things that impact you directly – does it really affect your life if a study says that people who “do a certain activity forty thousand times more than you ever have” will have bad results? Does it really matter if the temperature of the planet goes up .1 degree in the next 50 years – as it has varied by vast amounts over thousands and millions of years? Did humans cause it or it is more likely that natures’ own processes contribute significantly to the result?
The sun, Earth’s path around the sun, volcanoes and the decay process for plant material and organic waste may have a far more significant impact – scientists are still debating. What is the cost if rash decisions lead to calamity? In the meantime, your life is moving forward, are you?
